Steps-

a rhombus whose diagonal are of length 6.8cm and 8.4cm

As we know that diagonals of a rhombus perpendicualrly bisect Each other

Step 1  : Draw a line segment PR  = 6.8 cm using ruler

Step 2 : Draw a Perpendicular bisector of PR Using Compass

(Using Compass & opening it little bit less than PR and draw arcs on both sides of PR using P as Center then intersecting these two arcs taking R as Center)

Step 3 : Draw a Line joining intersection point of arcs

Step 4 : From the point where it intersect PR using compass cut this line = (8.4/2 = 4.2 cm both sides) and get point Q & S

Step 5 : Join PQ , QR , RS & PS

a rhombus whose diagonal are of length 6.8cm and 8.4cm is constructed

Steps of Construction:

(i) Construct AC=6.8 cm.

(ii) Construct one bisector PQ of AC to meet it at the point O.

(iii) From POQ, cut offandOD$$ such that

OB=OD=

×5.2=2.6 cm

(iv) Now join AB,BC,CD and DA.

Therefore, ABCD is the required rhombus.
