the poem cold within has themes
futility of discrimination
lack of warmth in human relations
it clearly shows that today's society don't have love in themselves. with the theme of futility of discrimination or hatred that human have against one another it shows that still pupils are being discriminated on the basis of race, class and religion
in today's worls there is no warmth in the pupils heart. In the poem it has shown in the line
Their dying fire is in need of logs
Metaphorically, it can be understood as the fire of compassion in their hearts that is dying
