Given-:

line l is parallel to line m; line n is the transversal

<PAQ = 45°;

To find-:

x, y, z, t

Construction-:

on the line n above angle A mark a point P

on the line l near to angle A mark a point Q

Solution-:

<PAQ = z {vertically opposite angles}

z = 45°

z + x = 180° {linear pair}

45° + x = 180°

x = 180°- 45°

x = 135°

It is given that line l is parallel to line m then the alternate interior angles are equal

=> z = y {alternate interior angles}

y = 45°

=> x = t {alternate interior angles}

t = 135°

Answer-:

x= 135°

y= 45°

z= 45°

t= 135°
