x - 1 \div 2 = x - 2 \div 5x−1÷2=x−2÷5

By cross multiplication

5 ( x - 1 ) = 2 ( x - 2 )

5x - 5 = 2x - 4

By Transferring like Terms

5x - 2x = 5 - 4

3x = 1

x = 1 / 3
