It is given that,

Io=K

As we know that,

I=Io.cos²/2

And,=2π/lambda×x

Where,=phase difference

x=path difference

=2π/lambda×lambda/3

=2π/3

Substitute the phase difference in the above equation,

I=Io.cos²∅/2

I=Io.Cos²2π/3×2

I=K.Cos²π/3

I=K/4
