Solution-

As AB=AD,

⇒ ΔABD is an isosceles triangle.

An isosceles triangle has two sides the same length and two angles the same. The two angles at the 'feet' of these sides are equal, i.e the angles that are not between the sides of the same length.

So,

m∠ADB = m∠ABD = 50°

∵ m∠ADB + m∠ADE = 180°   (As they supplementary angles)

⇒ 50°+ x = 180°

⇒  x = 130°

And m∠CAD = 25°

m∠ACB = m∠CAD + m∠ADC

( As an exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the opposite interior angles.)

m∠ACB = m∠CAD + m∠ADB  (As ∠ADB=∠ADC)

⇒ y = 25° + 50° = 75°

⇒ y = 75°
