Question :-

 \huge\frac{17}{10} - \frac{20}{25}

Answer :-

First we have to do the LCM of the denominators as they are not equal .

LCM of 10 and 25 is => 50

Now we have to also equal the numerator by multiplying the number which should be multiplied to its denominator to get 50.

So,

\frac{17}{10} = \frac{17×5}{10×5} = \frac{85}{50}

\frac{20}{25} = \frac{20×2}{25×2} = \frac{40}{50}

Hence , equal .

Now we will substract .

\frac{85-40}{50} \:  =  \: \frac{45}{40}

Simplified ,

\frac{9}{8} \:  or  \: 1\frac{1}{8}

Final Answer :-

\frac{9}{8} \:  or  \: 1\frac{1}{8}

Hope it helps friend !
