if the Inner radius of hemisphere bowl is 14cm. andits thickness is 7mm .find the cost of painting it at rate of 2 paise per square cm.​

Solution:

Inner diameter of the bowl (diameter)=14cm

◕ Inner radius of the bowl (radius) = 14/7 = 7cm

◕Metallic thickness ofvthe bowl =7mm =0.7cm

◕outer radius of the bowl =R = 7+.07

✿Area to be painted = inner surface area of hemisphere +outer surface area of hemisphere+ area ofvthe cross section ring of hemisphere

☞2πr²+2πR²+(πR²-πr²)

→2πr²+2πR²+πR²-πr²

→2πr²-πr²+2πR²+πR²

→3πR²+πr²

→3×22/7×7.7×7.7×22/7×7×7

→66×1.1×7.7×154

→559.02+154

713.02 cm²

To find : Total Cost of Painting

Solution:

Inner  radius  =  14 cm

Thickness = 7mm = 0.7 cm

Outer radius =  14 + 0.7 = 14.7 cm

Area to be painted

= 2π(14.7)²  + 2π(14)²   +  ( π(14.7)² - π(14)² )

= 3π(14.7)²  + π(14)²

using π = 22/7

=> 3(22/7) (14.7)² + (22/7) (14)²

= 66 * 14.7 * 2.1  +  22 * 14  * 2

=  2037.42  + 616

= 2653.42  cm²

cost of painting   at rate of 2 paise per square cm   = 2653.42 * 2 / 100   Rs

= 53.0684  Rs

cost of painting = 53.0684  Rs
