Answer:

  1. (i) 90° (Two angles are called complementary if their measures add to 90 degrees)

        (ii) Right angles or 90°

(Two angles are called supplementary if their measures add to 180

        degrees, 90° + 90° = 180°)

       (iii) Acute angles

       ( Since acute angle < 90°, ∴ Acute angle + Acute angle = 90° ; Thus,

         acute angles can be complementary)

       (iv) 45° ( 180° - 135°  45°)

    2. Two angles are called complementary if their measures add to 90 degrees and are called supplementary if their measures add to 180 degrees.

  1. 17°,83° ( 17° + 83° = 100° ≠ 90° and ≠ 180° ) ∴ 17°,83° are neither complementary, nor supplementary
  2. 32°,58° ( 32° + 58° = 90°) ∴ 32°,58° are complementary
  3. 146°,34° ( 146° + 34° = 180° ) ∴ 146°,34° are supplementary
  4. 45°, 45° ( 45° + 45° = 90°) ∴ 45°,45° are complementary

   3. (a) 90° - 25° = 65°

       (b) 90° - 41° = 49°

   4. (a) 180° - 166° = 14°

       (b) 180° - 64° = 116°

Hope you got that.

Thank You.
