Answer:

iv ,1 ans

Agriculture is the main source of earning in many rural areas.

Complete answer: Human influence on the land and other natural resources is accelerating because of rapid population growth and increasing food requirements.

1. The increasing agricultural intensity generates pressure not only on land resources but also across the whole environment.

2. These factors make agriculture a top priority sector for both economic and environmental policy. Agricultural ecosystems are interlinked with rural areas where more than 3 billion people live, almost half of the world's population.

3. Roughly 2.5 billion of these rural people derive their livelihoods from agriculture.

4. Thus, population and land‐use trends are considered to be the main driving forces for agriculture. For many economies, especially those of developing countries, agriculture can be an important engine or driving force of economic growth.

5. There are lots of barren lands in rural areas that are untouched by human urban civilization. Those lands can be fruitfully used in agriculture purposes.

6. Agriculture will give crops and food to a lot of people.

7. It will give money to the laborers who will work on it and food to the needy.

8. At the same time ecosystem will be not harmed and the whole food chain will start recovering.

Note: Agriculture with modern methods must be initiated where less land is used and more crops are grown. Proper water supply for irrigation should be taken care of by the panchayats or the political parties.

Pest-free crops without harmful pesticides should be done in agriculture so that the land as well as the ecosystem is not harmed.
