c) Shiwaliks (Outer Himalayas)

Three characteristics of great Himalayas are--

I) It is the most continuous range.

II) It consists of loftiest peaks with an average height of 6,000 metres.

III) It remains snow covered throughout the year, resulting into the formation of glaciers and some perennial rivers.

III) it contents calcerous deposits locally known as kankar.

IV) it is more fertile.
