given :- {(1/4)^-3 - (1/3)^-3)} - (1/4)^-2

= 4^3 - 3^2 - 4^2

= (4 × 4 × 4) - (3 × 3 × 3) - (4 × 4)

= 64 - 27 - 16

= 64 - 43

= 21

one more thing, a^-b = (1/a)^b

therefore (1/a)^-b = a^b

I used this here.. if you're having any doubt, feel free to ask in comment section
