Answer:

i) When we want to open a door, we exert a force of push.

ii) Some activities that exert force followed by appearing as a pull include pulling of a rope, opening a door and lifting something.

iii) Opening and closing a door, playing with a remote control toy and changing the battery are three actions which involve both push and pull. Push and pull of an object can change the position and make the object to move. It is an amount of energy given to the object to move.

Hope it helps

The actions of daily life are as follows:

i) Actions where exerted force appears to be a Push.

  • Closing the door. (We need to push the door to close it. The force exerted on the door is a force away from our body.)
  • Closing a drawer. ( We need to apply a force away from our body on the drawer to close it. Hence it is a push motion.)

ii) Actions where exerted force appears to be a Pull.

  • Opening a cupboard. (While opening a cupboard, we need to pull the doors towards us. Therefore the force exerted leads to a pull motion.)
  • Pull our chair while sitting. (We need to exert force on the chair so that we can pull the chair towards ourselves while sitting.)

iii) Actions involving both Push and Pull motions.

  • The shifting of curtains. (The shifting of curtains takes both the pull and push motions. While closing the curtains, we use push motion. While opening the curtains we need to use the pull motion.)
