Please help me edit this it's about the book "The Help"

The racism that the white had towards the coloured had a certain impact on the way the coloured help were viewed and spoken to. The white people would use very racist words to talk to and about the coloured help. They’d use the words Nigro and Nigra in their everyday conversations and they would not care if a person of colour overheard them. The white people would also talk down to the coloured help as if they were children. The coloured help had to talk with respect to their white families and were never allowed to talk back. Since the white people had the upper hand of Jim Crows laws and held the coloureds pay they could literally treat the help as if they weren't a person. If a coloured help was caught talking back or talking badly about their white family it could cost them their and maybe their partners' job. They could also be beaten and sent to jail which could have a nasty impact on them ever finding a job and or providing for themselves and their family. Since the coloured had to keep up with the way they had to spoke to their white families, the women of these families also had to keep up a status between other white women.
