Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the perpendicular from A onto BC be X.\

Then AX is height of the triangle.

Now, area of the triangle, ar(ABC) = 1/2*(AX)*(BC) = 27 cm.sq.

And from the problem,  BC = 3*DE

                                =>  DE = BC/3

Therefore, ar(ADE) = 1/2*(AX)*(DE)

                                = [1/2*(AX)*(BC)]/3

                                = 27/3 = 9 cm.sq.

Answer:

in triangle sec

cd=de ,ad is median in the triangle

ar. triangle aed=ar. triangle acd{median divide the traingle into two equal parts)

ar triangle aeb=ar triangle aed(same theorem)

ar triangle aeb=ar triangle aed=ar triangle acd

ar.triangle abc=27

ar triangle aed+ar triangle aeb+ar triangle acd=27

3 ar triangle aed=27

ar triangle aed=9 cm²
