Please help me find the sum of 147 in the arithmetic sequence 2, 7, 12....​

  • First term = 2

  • Common difference = 7 - 2 = 5

  • Number of terms = 147

To Find :-

  • Sum of terms in Given A.P

Solution :-

Sₙ = n/2 [ 2a + ( n - 1 ) d

⇒ Sₙ = 147/2 [ 2 × 2 + ( 147 - 1 ) 5

⇒ Sₙ = 147/2 [ 4 + ( 146 ) 5

⇒ Sₙ = 147/2 [ 4 + 730 ]

⇒ Sₙ = 147/2 × 734

⇒ Sₙ = 147 × 367

⇒ Sₙ = 53946

Sum of 147 terms is 53,946
