Answer:-

1) Given:

Initial velocity (u) = 0 km/h

Final Velocity (v) = 40 km/h

Time taken (t) = 10 s

We know that,

acceleration(a) =  \frac{v - u}{t}  \\  \\ a =  \frac{40 - 0}{ \frac{10}{3600} }  \\  \\ a =  \frac{40 \times 3600}{10}  \\  \\ a = 14400 \:  {km.h}^{ - 2}  \\  \\ a = 1.11 \:  {m.s}^{ - 2}

2) Initial velocity = 60 km/h = (60*5)/18 = 16.66 m/s

Final Velocity = 0 km/h = 0 m/s

Time taken = 20 s

a =  \frac{0 - 16.66}{20}  \\  \\ a = 0.83 \:  {m.s}^{ - 2}

3) Retardation = 2 m/s²

acceleration = - 2 m/s²

Final Velocity = 0 m/s

Time taken = 10 s

 - 2 =  \frac{0 - u}{10}  \\  \\  - u =  - 2(10) \\  \\ u = 20 \:   {m.s}^{ - 2}

4) Initial velocity = 54 km/h = 15 m/s

Final Velocity = 72 km/h = 20 m/s

Time taken = 15 s

a =  \frac{20 - 15}{1 5 }  \\  \\ a =  \frac{5}{15}  \\  \\ a = 0.33 \:  {m.s}^{ - 2}

For a journey from A to B avg. Speed is 20km/h and from B to A is 40km/h .calculate avg. Speed of entire journey.
