 \frac{x - 1}{2}  -  \frac{x - 2}{3}  -  \frac{x - 3}{4}  = 1

 \frac{(x - 1) \times 6 - (x - 2) \times 4 - (x - 3) \times 3}{12} = 1

 \frac{6x - 6 - (4x - 8) - (3x - 9)}{12}  = 1

 \frac{6x - 6 - 4x + 8 - 3x + 9}{12}  = 1

 \frac{ - x + 11}{12}  = 1

 - x + 11 = 12 \times 1

 - x + 11 = 12

 - x = 12 - 11

 - x = 1

x =  - 1
