Given: Length of the park is 350 m and the breadth is 250 m. Also, the cost of fencing the park is ₹18.50/m.

To find: The total cost.

Answer:

When fencing is done, you calculate the perimeter.

Formula to find the perimeter: 2(Length + Breadth).

Substituting the values in the above formula,

Perimeter = 2(350 + 250)

Perimeter = 2 x 600

Perimeter = 1200 m

Now, to find the cost.

Cost for fencing per meter = ₹18.50.

Therefore, cost for fencing 1200 m = 18.50 x 1200 = ₹2220.

Hope it helps :)

ANSWER:-

Given:

  • A rectangular park of length= 350m
  • A rectangular park of breadth= 250m
  • The rate of Rs.18.50/m

To find:

The cost of fencing a rectangular park.

Explanation:

We know that formula of perimeter of the rectangle: 2[Length + Breadth]

∴Perimeter of rectangular park= 2[350+250]m

Perimeter of rectangular park= 2[600]m

Perimeter of rectangular park= 1200m

Now,

Cost of fencing for 1m= Rs.18.50

∴ Cost of fencing for 1200m= Rs.[18.50×1200]

∴ Cost of fencing for 1200m= Rs.22200.
