I guess 'rounds' here is talking about going on the edge of the rectangular garden, and so:

Perimeter= (120m*2)+(100m*2)=440m

Rounds=2200m/440m=5

as we know the given...
length = 120m
breadth = 100m

therefore....
PERIMETER of rectangle
= 2 (length + breadth )
= 2 ( 120 + 100 )
= 2 * 220
= 440m

here we have that if the boy covers 2200m.
then the no.of rounds made by him....

round covered. 2200m
----------------------- = ---------------
perimeter. 440m

= 2200 / 440
= 5 rounds
