a)

 lim_{x - > 3⁺}f(x)

= lim_{x - > 3⁺}(2x+5)

= 2\times3 + 5

= 11

b)

 lim_{x - > 3⁻}f(x)

= lim_{x - > 3⁻}(x²)

=3²

=9

c)

As lim_{x - > 3⁺}f(x) and lim_{x - > 3⁻}f(x) are not equal, lim_{x - > 3}f(x) does not exist.

Answer:

a)

lim_{x - > 3⁺}f(x)lim

x−>3⁺

f(x)

= lim_{x - > 3⁺}(2x+5)=lim

x−>3⁺

(2x+5)

= 2\times3 + 5=2×3+5

= 11=11

b)

lim_{x - > 3⁻}f(x)lim

x−>3⁻

f(x)

= lim_{x - > 3⁻}(x²)=lim

x−>3⁻

(x²)

=3²=3²

=9=9

c)

As lim_{x - > 3⁺}f(x)lim

x−>3⁺

f(x) and lim_{x - > 3⁻}f(x)lim

x−>3⁻

f(x) are not equal, lim_{x - > 3}f(x)lim

x−>3

f(x) does not exist.
