Answer:

a) Volume or Cylinder = 4019.2 cm³

b) Volume of Container = 8115.2 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

height of cylinder, h = 20 cm

base radius of cylinder, r = 8 cm

side of cube, a = 16 cm

a) Volume of cylinder = πr²h

                                    = 3.14 x (8)² x 20

                                     = 4019.2 cm³

b) Volume of cube = a³ = (16)³

                               = 4096 cm³

Volume of whole container = Volume of cylinder + Volume of cube

                                                 = 4019.2 + 4096

                                                 = 8115.2 cm³

Note that I am taking value of π as 3.14.

If you take π as 22/7,

You get Volume of Cylinder as 4022.857 cm³ = 4022.86 cm³

And therefore, Volume of Container = 8118.86 cm³

Hope this helps.
