AnSwEr

{\tt{\red{\underline{\large{Given}}}}}

  • A polygon
  • Made up of ∆ and rectangle

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • Area of polygon

{\tt{\Large{\pink{\underline{Construction}}}}}

  • \tt{AF\perp{BE}}

Solution

Area of polygon = Area of + Area of Rectangle

AF=8-4=4

Area of polygon = Area of ∆ + Area of Rectangle

=>Area of polygon = 1/2 Breadth × Height+ Length × Breadth

=>Area of polygon= 1/2 ×15 ×4 + 15×4

=>Area of polygon= 30+ 60

=>Area of polygon=90cm

Hence the area of polygon is 90cm²
