  • GIVEN:-

\large{\sf{\angle\:PQR= 60\degree}}

  • To Do:-

Bisect it.

  • SOLUTION:-

We know that:

\huge{\sf{\frac{1}{2}\large\times60\degree=30\degree}}

So, to construct an angle of 30º, first construct a 60º angle and then bisect it. Often, we apply the following steps.

  • Step 1: Draw the arm AB.

  • Step 2: Place the point of the compass at A and draw an arc.

  • Step 3: Place the point of the compass at the line AB and draw an arc that cuts the arc drawn in Step 2 at D.

  • Step 4: With the point of the compass still at line AB draw an arc near C as shown.

  • Step 5: With the point of the compass at D, draw an arc to cut the arc drawn in Step 4 at C.

  • Step 6: Join C to A.

(refer to the attachment).

\large\pink\therefore\boxed{\sf{\pink{The\:\angle\:CAB \: is \:30\degree.}}}
