We know that ,

Sum of the angles of any triangle is 180 degrees.

So , In triangle ABC ,

30+z+50=180

z=100 degrees

Given, DE is parallel to BC .

Taking AD as the transversal joining DE and BC , We get

y=50 degrees                          .......................... Corresponding angles

Taking AC as the transversal joining DE and BC , We get

X=100 degrees.                       .......................... Corresponding angles
