It is used to detect the end points of titrations.

Examples are: Turmeric,china rose ,red cabbage etc.

6.a.When a piece of red litmus paper is put in the solution of tartaric acid it changes it's color into blue.

When a piece of red litmus paper is put in the solution of soap then it's change its color into blue.

When a piece of red litmus paper is put in the pure water nothing will happens .

b. When a piece of blue litmus paper is put in the solution of tartaric acid it changes it's color into red.

When a piece of blue litmus paper is put in the solution of soap then it doesn't change its color.

When a piece of blue litmus paper is put in the pure water nothing will happen.

c. As we know that phenolphthalein is color less.

When a drop of phenolphthalein is put in the solution of tartaric acid,solution of soap and pure water nothing will happen.
