atomic weight of sugar = 12*12(for carbon) + 22*1(for hydrogen) + 11*16(for oxygen) = 144 + 22 + 176 =342

number of moles = given weight/atomic weight

                             = 34.2/342 = 0.1

1 mole = 6.022 *10^23 molecules

0.1 mole = 0.1 * 6.022 * 10^23 = 6.022 * 10^22

answer: 6.022 * 10^22 molecules
