let length of 3rd side be x

length of 3rd side => 2x12 + x = 30

                             => 24 + x = 30  => x = 6

base of triangle i.e 3rd side= 6cm

half of 3rd side = 3cm

let heigth of triangle be y

height of triangle ( by pythagoras theorem ) => 3² + y² = 12²

                                                                         => 9 + y² = 144

                                                                        => y² = 135 => y = 11.62 cm

so, area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x 6 x 11.62 = 34.86 cm²
