velocity = wavelength × frequency
Velocity in m/s
Frequency in Hz
Wavelength in m
(i) As given,
velocity = wavelength × frequency
Therefore,
130 × 10^3 × wavelength = 344
wavelength = 2.62 × 10 ^-3 m
(ii) Audible range = 20 Hz - 20, 000 Hz
Time period = 1 / frequency
Thus time periods =
1 / 20 and 1 / 20, 000
= 0.05 s and 0.00005 s
= 5 × 10 ^-2 s and 5 × 10 ^-5 s
