Perimeter of the square field ran by Ritu = 4 × s

=4 × 45

= 180 m

Rita ran three times around the field.

The distance she covered = 3 × perimeter of the field

= 3 × 180 m

= 540 m

Perimeter of the rectangle field ran by Seema = 2 ( l+b )

= 2 (105 + 100)

= 2 × 205

= 410 m

Seema runs 2 times around the field.

The distance she covered = 2 × perimeter of the field

= 2× 410

= 820 m

820- 540 = 280 m

Thefore Seema covered more distance than Ritu as she covered 280 m more than her.

Hope it helps you. Take care.

Perimeter of square=4×side

=4×45

=180m

total distance covered by Rita=3×180 m

=540m

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(105+100)

=410m

Total distance covered by Seema=2×410

=820m

Therefore, Seema covers more distance by (820-540) m= 280m
