if potted plants aren't watered even for a few days the leaves starts to die the plant will loose it's life even if one of the components like sunlight, water and carbon dioxide isn't present for its photosynthesis process and if there is no photosynthesis no vegetables or fruits and if there are no vegetables and fruits no existence of human beings hence it is a mutual benefit process if plants are not watered it ultimately affects us. hope it helps!

Explanation :All living things need to water to survive. This is because all living things are mostly made of water and since they lose water in different ways, they need to get more water to stay the same size. So if a plant does not get enough water, it will shrink. If it goes long enough without water it will die because the plant uses water for a lot of different jobs needed to keep the plant alive.
