Question:-

PQR is a isosceles right triangle, right - angled at Q. Prove that PR² = 2PQ².

Given:-

  • PQR is an isosceles right angle.

To Prove:-

  • PQ² = 2PQ².

Solution:-

In PQR by Pythagoras Theorem,

PR² = PQ² + QR²

PR² = PQ² + PQ² [ PQ = QR ].

PR² = 2PQ².
