a) x= 7/6 , -(-x) = -(-7/6)

7/6= - (-7/6) {Negative * Negative = Positive}

= 7/6=7/6

Hence proved that -(-x)=x.

b) x= -8/9 , -(-x) = -[-(-8/9)]

-8/9 = -(--8/9)

= -8/9= +(-8/9)

-8/9= -8/9

Hence proved that -(-x) = x.
