Then suddenly they heard someone shouting ‘Hey, who goes there?’. Both of them froze as a monster kind of a person started shouting at them from inside the lodge. Daljit gathered some courage and replied to the man ‘We are friends just playing around.’ The man scowled at them and came out to greet them. He was wearing a watchman’s uniform with knife in one hand and onion in the other. He explained us that the building is off-limits to children as it is a private property and trespassing without notice is an offence. Both apologised for their mistake. Then they were asked to leave the premises immediately, but Daljit replied that he wanted to look around. The security guard got upset and pointed towards both of them the kitchen knife in an angry gesture which he was previously using to cut onions for his curry. That person swore to the children ‘Get out of here, or else i’ll beat both of you!!’. Daljit and his friend got scared and ran away knowing that the man will harm them if they hang around any longer.
Finally after reaching home, Daljit said ‘Phew!!’ to his other friend as the danger had passed. But they also realised it is better not to disobey laws and enter into others homes without ringing the door bell.
