Jawaharlal Nehru was an Indian independence activist and the first prime minister of India. He was also known as Pandit Nehru due to his roots with the Kashmiri Pandit community, while Indian children knew him better as Chacha Nehru. He wss born on 14th November 1889 which we now celebrate as the Children's day and he died on 27 May 1964 at the age 74.
