For only those students who are stidying in 11th .

An object was weight by a physical balance abd following readings were obtained :-
readings - 5.04g , 5.06g , 4.97g , 5g , 4.93g.
then find most probable value ( mean value ) , mean absolute value , percentage error.

Hii Mates,...

1. Mean value = Sum of observations

Number of observations

= 5.04 + 5.06 + 4.97 + 5.00 + 4.93

= 5 g

2. Mean absolute error : For mean absolute error subtract mean value from each term and calculate the mean of the modulus ( positive ) of those values

Mean absolute error = |5.04 - 5| + |5.06 - 5| + |4.97 - 5| + |5-5| + |4.93 - 5|

5 = 0.04 + 0.06 + 0.03 + 0 + 0.07

5 = 0.20

5 = 0.04

3. For percentage error multiply mean absolute error with 100.

Percentage error = 0.04 >< 100

= 4 %

1. Mean value = Sum of observations

Number of observations

 \frac{= 5.04 + 5.06 + 4.97 + 5.00 + 4.93</p><p>                                                   }{5}

= 5 g

2.Mean absolute error

  = \frac{5.04 - 5| + |5.06 - 5| + |4.97 - 5| + |5-5| + |4.93 - 5|</p><p>                                                                             }{5}

  = \frac{0.04 + 0.06 + 0.03 + 0 + 0.07</p><p>                                                           }{5}

 =  \frac{ 0.20</p><p>                                       }{5}

= 0.04

3.Percentage error = 0.04 ×100×%

= 4 %
