Electronic configuration of Hydrogen:-
"K" shell= 1 electron.
It has only one electron in its outer shell,so it have to take 1 electrons from others to make itself stable.
Thus,
Its valency is +1.

Hey there !!
Hydrogen :-
Atomic number = 1
No : of protons = Atomic number = 1
No : of electrons = No : of protons = 1
Electronic configuration = 1
There is only 1 electron totally in a hydrogen atom.
Hence , first shell of hydrogen would have only 1 electron.
Also , the number of valence electrons here is 1
Hence , its valency also is 1
