Given:-

  • one side = 4m
  • diagonal=5m

To find:-

  • Area of rectangle.

Solution:-

By using Pythagoras theorem other side of rectangle can be determined.

  \large \mathtt{{5}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {4}^{2} }

From here

  \large \mathtt{{5}^{2}  -  {4}^{2}  =  {x}^{2} }

\large \mathtt{25 - 16  =  {x}^{2} }

\large \mathtt{9 =  {x}^{2} }

\large \mathtt{   \sqrt{9} =  {x} }

\large \mathtt{  3 =  {x} }

Now we have two sides of rectangle and area of rectangle is given by product of sides

hence

Area= 3 x 4= 12m²

Answer:

12m²

Step-by-step explanation:

5 2 - 42

= √ 9

=3 m

So The area of the rectangular field = 4 x 3

= 5 2 - 42

= √ 9

=3 m

So The area of the rectangular field = 4 x 3

= 12m²

Hope it helps..
