Let acceleration= a
Force on the body =m×a
Again due to circular motion, centripetal force= mv^2/r
hence, ma=mv^2/r
or, a=v^2/r..................This is therequired expression
yes the accln is always directed towards the centre of the circular path...so we xan say that the direction of instantaneous acceleration is along the radial direction....
