Please help me out with this.
"The lower tip of the heart, the apex, lies to the left of the sternum (8 to 9 cm from the midsternal line) between the junction of the fourth and fifth ribs near their articulation with the costal cartilage​s." What do you mean by the above line??

hello dear....

It simply means that our heart is tilted towards left side. It is present in a notch present in our left lung. Also this line shows that heart is present between 5th and 4th ribs.
