the answer is A because in A the height is highest, and potential energy at the top of the slope is equal to kinetic energy of the ball at the bottom of the slope
-formula for potential energy is mgh, which is mass times acceleration of gravity times height
-therefore if height is higher, potential energy at the top and kinetic energy at the bottom will be higher 
-also, this is a primary school question?looks advanced for primary school, seems more like secondary school level

hedgehogpathways: 17. the answer is 12, because F=kx, where k is spring constant and x is extension; based on given values for F and x, 2N and 6cm, k is 2/6, or 1/3 so force is 8N in total, 4n per spring, and so 4=(1/3)x so x is 3 times 4, or 12
hedgehogpathways: not sure about 16, based on previous comment logic, answer should be 24cm, but that's not in any of the options
