For the first 3 questions, its quite simple, you just subtract the numerators, and keep the denominator the same:

1. 7/18 - 4/18 = 3/18

2. 33/5 - 19/50 = 14/50

3. 24/30 - 6/30 = 18/30

For the next question, first we have to simplify the denominator of both fractions, and then subtract.

For Question A, we have 5/6 - 3/7, so we have to find the LCM of 6 and 7, which is 42.

So, we have to multiply the denominators to get them to 42

5/6 * 7/7 = 35/42

3/7 * 6/6 = 18/42

Now that they are like fractions, we can subtract directly

35/42 - 18/42 = 17/42

17/42 cannot be simplified further. That is our answer.

For (B) and (C), i'll just write the answers since the explanation is the same as (A)

B) 3/2 (Or 1 1/2 if they want it in the form of a mixed fraction)

C) 1/3

For the nexty question, we have to convert the mixed to an improper fraction, and then do the same steps as above:

6 2/3 and 2 5/6

To do this, we multiply the whole number by its respective denominator and add the product to the numerator, like so:

2 + (6×3)/3 = (2+18)/3 = 20/3

5 + (2×6)/6 = (5 + 12)/6 = 17/6

Now, we bring them both to the same denominator

20/3 × 2/2 = 40/6

17/6 × 1/1 = 17/6

Now, finally, we can subtract:

40/6 - 17/6 = 23/6

B) 8 7/12 - 4 3/4

= 103/12 - 19/4

= 103/12 - 57/12

= 46/12

= 23/6

Hope this helped!
