Explanation:

A major function is the modifying, sorting and packaging of proteins for secretion. It is also involved in the transport of lipids around the cell, and the creation of lysosomes. The sacs or folds of the Golgi apparatus are called cisternae.

major organelle in most eukaryotic cells is the structure of membrane-bound sacs called the Golgi apparatus.

They are called digestive bags. They destroy any foreign material which enter the cell such as bacteria and virus. 2)They remove worn out and poorly working cellular organelles by digesting them to make way for their new replacements. 3)They are called suicide bags of cell.

1)They are involved in synthesis of cell wall, plasma membrane and lysosomes. 2)It produces vacuoles which contain cellular secretions eg:enzymes, protein, cellulose etc. 3)They act as an area for storage, processing and packaging of various cellular secretions.

1 It has been likened to the cell's post office. A major function is the modifying, sorting and packaging of proteins for secretion. It is also involved in the transport of lipids around the cell, and the creation of lysosomes. The sacs or folds of the Golgi apparatus are called cisternae.

2.The Golgi apparatus, also called Golgi complex or Golgi body, is a membrane-bound organelle found in eukaryotic cells (cells with clearly defined nuclei) that is made up of a series of flattened stacked pouches called cisternae. It is located in the cytoplasm next to the endoplasmic reticulum and near the cell nucleus.

3.For example, when cell gets damaged, lysosome may burst and the enzymes digest their own cell. Therefore lysosomes are known as the Suicidal bags of a cell or we can say that they posses different kind of hydrolases on release of these enzymes that cause death of cell.

4.Lysosomal enzymes are synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum and modified in the Golgi apparatus. Lysosomal enzymes are tagged for lysosomes by the addition of mannose-6-phosphate label.
