 \sqrt{2}

SOLUTION:

 \sqrt{32}  \times  \sqrt{2}

 =  \sqrt{64}

 =  \sqrt{ {8}^{2} }

 = 8

Since 8 is rational number.

Therefore we can say that \sqrt{2} is the smallest number that can be multiplied to get an rational number.
