Explanation:

1.First Battle of panipat was take place in 1526. It was very important for Mughal empire. Mughal won taqt of Delhi sultanate and rule India after defeating lodhi kingdom Ibrahim Lodhi was killed and Babur became the King . Though Mughals was smalls in number but by their good war strategy they won the battle.

In 1556, second battle was taken place between Hemu (Hem Chandra Vikramaditya) and Akbar . Hemu had conquered the taqt of Delhi and Agra after defeating Mughals in Battle of Delhi. After listening the news Akbar with his troops marched to Panipat to reclaim Agra and Delhi. Again Mughals was smalls in numbers but by their war strategy they won second battle of panipat and reclaim their territory. Hemu was captured by Mughls and later Behram Khan Beheaded Hemu with his sword.

2. Mughal links with Central Asia having been completely snapped so Akbar had to make friendly alliances in India. friendship with the Rajputs was politically fruitful. he wanted to make peaceful Rajputana a stepping stone for his Gujarat and Deccan conquests.

3.The system determined the rank and status of a government official and military generals.the mansabdari system founded by Akbar, the mansabdars were military commanders, high civil and military officers, and provincial governors.

Disadvantages:The system proved very expensive., The mansabdars got their salaries from the emperor and paid themselves the salaries to their troops.

4.Aurangzeb come to power in 1658 in the midst of a war of succession that left two of his brothers dead, a third exiled to Burma, and his father imprisoned. Aurangzeb named himself the “Seizer of the World” (Alamgir) and lived up to the title by seizing kingdom after kingdom during his forty-nine-year reign.

  1. 5. a. Akbar is known for his liberal ideas and liberal religious policy. He adopted a policy of mutual understanding and reconciliation among followers of different faiths and equality of all religions. He tried to harmonize the relations. He founded a new religion known as ‘Din-i-Ilahi’ based on the common points of all religions. Of course, in this endeavor he was not successful.
