2. Then AE =DC= 10cm
3. Using Pythagorean theorem CE=8cm.
4. THEN find the area of triangle and rectangle and add them.

Area of Triangle =

$\frac{1}{2} \times (6) \times (8)$

= 24 cm ^2

Area of rectangle=

$10 \times 8$

= 80 cm^2

TOTAL AREA = 80 + 24
