Answer: Area of the rectangle = 49 cm² , Perimeter of the whole rectangle = 52 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

We need some trial and error to solve this question :- .

Look at the top rightmost rectangle , it has area 28 cm² .

28 = 1*28 , or 2*14 or 4*7 .

So the possible sides of the rectangle can be (1,28) , (2,14) or (4,7) cm .

Suppose we assume the length is 4 cm, breadth is 7 cm.

Then we have the length of the top leftmost rectangle to be 4 as well .

Since the area is 32 cm² , we have the breadth to be 32/4 or 8 cm .

So the breadth of the bottom leftmost rectangle is 8 cm as well .

Since the area is 56 cm², we have the length of the bottom leftmost rectangle to be 56/8 or 7 cm .

This arrangement perfectly works , for this see the attachment .

So we have the area of the bottom right most rectangle to be (7*7) cm² =

49 cm²

And perimeter of the rectangle = (4 + 7 + 4 + 7 + 8 + 7 + 8 + 7) cm

=> (11 + 11 + 15 + 15) cm

=> (26 + 26) cm

=> 52 cm .

Hope this helps you .
