a) area of parallelogram= bh

                                       =8 * 6

                                       =48 sq.cm

b)take AD as base and BF as height

 given, CB= 6.4 cm

since CB = AD, AD = 6.4 cm

hence, area of parallelogram= bh

                                                 =AD * BF

                                (from (a)) 48= 6.4 * BF

                                              BF = 48/6.4

                                                   =7.5
