☆ To Verify:-
▪︎ Sum of zeroes
= coefficient of x/coefficient of x² (-b/a)
▪︎ Product of zeroes
= constant term/coefficient of x² (c/a).
☆ Given:-
=》5y×y + 10y.
= 5y² + 10y.
= 5y(y + 2) = Factors.
☆ Therefore,
=》 5y(y + 2) = 0
=》 Either
=》 5y = 0
=》 y = 0/5.
▪︎ Or,
=》 y+2 = 0.
=》 y = 0-2.
Therefore the zeroes are 0 and -2.
☆ Here,
▪︎ Sum of zeroes,
= -2+0
And
-b/a
= -(10/5)
▪︎ So, sum of zeroes
= -b/a.
☆ Again,
▪︎ Product of zeroes,
= 0×(-2).
▪︎ And,
c/a
= 0/5
▪︎ So product of zeroes = c/a.
