The lens formula is-

1/v -1/u= 1/f

Magnification is the ratio oh height of the image to height of the object.

m=h'/h=v/u

Lens Formula =>

 \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{v}  -  \frac{1}{u}

Magnification =>

m \:  =  \frac{v}{u}  =  \frac{h.}{h}

If m = +ve , then image is Virtual, erect

If m = -ve , then image is Real , inverted

If m = >1 , Image is Enlarged

If m = <1 , Image is Diminished

If m = 1 , Image is Of Same Size That of Object
